Where it began

A wedding is a story told once. We wanted the invitation to feel like the first page of it, not a form to be filled in.

rockStudio began with a simple observation: the things that make Japanese design beautiful are the things most invitations leave out. Space. Season. The way light falls, and the way shadow answers it. Restraint, held on purpose.

What we make

Animated wedding websites, save the dates and opening films, each one set in a place in Japan — Tokyo after dark, Kyoto in autumn, Mount Fuji through the four seasons.

Every design is built in Canva. You open a link, make your own copy, and change the words, the photographs and the colours until the story is yours. There is no software to install and no design experience needed.

Made for weddings held far from home

Most of the couples who find us are planning a celebration their guests will travel to. Those guests need more than a date and an address. They need timings, a map, a note about what to wear, and somewhere to reply. All of it is built into the invitation, so nothing has to be explained twice.

How we work

Each template is finished before it is published. Nothing is produced in bulk, and nothing is sold as a draft for you to repair. The design you see is the design you receive.
